Intuitive/Automatic Drawing for messages from Above!

"Intuitive Drawing."One of the lessons I have planned for Angels in my Studio is leading students into making a watercolor piece using automatism, the technique of the surrealists.
Most of the time our conscious mind is preoccupied with accuracy, techniques, themes etc. all of which lead us away from our intuition and emotions; through automatic drawing we free ourselves as we draw the 'first thing that comes to mind'-what your intuition leads you to.  This process allows messages to come forth  as clearly as they can come to you in dreams.

Through automatic/intutive drawing you are able to free yourself from artistic conventions and everyday thinking allowing you to access information that is usually unavailable through the usual processes of drawing.
Though 99% of my work is already intuitive...when I apporach these works I set an intention: to reach deep within and be able to create something from which I can receive a message. I have also led students who tend to be more 'technique' centered into working more intutively as a path to self revelation and introspection.

As I worked on this particular piece (above, right) I felt like a little girl and indeed the end result looks like the drawings I created when I was little..lots of story telling and detail! Indeed, it is a biographical piece, and the whole process was so healing!

Intuitive drawing process.

I begin by setting an intention and prayer asking for guidance from God/Spirit.

On Watercolor paper and with a pencil I begin to  intuitively draw whatever comes to mind, always starting from the center with an image that represents myself. The drawing is outlined with an ink pens (Micron or Pitt are those I prefer), and watercolor is added;  I  draw whatever images emerge leading to a piece that in the end, is both inspirational and enlightening. .

I have done pieces like these in the past and each drawing always has a different message.

I feel these drawings lead you to connect with your inner guidance..... I hope you join me in the course to try it our yourself (as long as many other lessons about art and angels)!

I worked for two days from morning until night on the piece, my arm was sore for three days as a result, but wow! It was fantastic and I can't wait to see what participants in the course will come up with!

You still have time to sign up as it does not begin until May 1st!

Please go here to find out more information and to sign up for Angels in my Studio.

Much Love & Light to YOU!

WOW! This is a very interesting technique! I used to do intuitive writing with inner self (or angels, or guides, whatever you want to call them), but never tried drawing.... You course will be a great success.
Happy Easter Holidays!!
